What is Cooperative Education?
- Opportunity to gain experience in the world of work under supervision of a teacher and professionals in the community.
- Allows the students an opportunity to explore a career area with the intent of planning for university, college, or post secondary education.
- The program at GSS is designed for the student to work every day on-the-job for half day blocks either in the morning or the afternoon for one full semester.
- The student will receive two credits for this out-of-school component.
- Students will be monitored regularly by the Cooperative Education Teacher and will receive formal appraisals by the employer.
