Dear Grimsby Eagles Staff and Students:

There is nothing that can take precedent over our immediate need to support one another in this time of tragedy with the loss of our student, our friend, Sam Vogl. Our collective sympathy goes out to his brother Jake, his mom and dad and Sam's extended family.

Our hopes and prayers are that Colin Babb makes a full recovery and returns home soon to his family and friends. It is with deepest sympathy that we recognize the tragic loss of Mr. Babb in the same skiing accident. G.S.S. is in a state of shock and grief as we have heard and try to make some sense of this terrible news. Our immediate focus must be to support each other in whatever way we can. I know our support will extend to both the Vogl and Babb families.

For whatever time is required, staff, counsellors and areas for grieving and supporting each other will be available in the school. As information becomes available we will keep everyone notified. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Vogl and Babb families at this difficult time.
